The actress Gabrielle Rose discusses her upcoming film at the Vancouver International Film Festival, The Dick Knost Show, which she also produced, and the Arts Club Theatre’s latest production, Other Desert Cities, with Joseph Planta.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Gabrielle Rose joins me again. The prolific actress has a new film screening at the Vancouver International Film Festival, the Bruce Sweeney directed The Dick Knost Show. As well, she stars in the latest production at the Arts Club Theatre’s Stanley Industrial Alliance Stage, Jon Robin Baitz’s Other Desert Cities. She plays Polly, the matriarch of an old Republican family whose past is threatened by her daughter’s forthcoming tell-all memoir. I spoke to Gabrielle Rose last week about this production and more. Other Desert Cities opens tonight Wednesday, 25 September 2013. Visit www.artsclub.com for tickets and information, and www.viff.org for more information on the film. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Gabrielle Rose; Ms. Rose, good morning.
