Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver at TheCommentary.ca.

A great way to celebrate Valentine’s Day this weekend, beginning Thursday the 14th through to Saturday the 16th is checking out Dances for a Small Stage 28 at the Legion on the Drive. It’s the 28th Small Stage performance and it’s timely as it celebrates love. Joining me now is Donald Sales, one of the performers in this show that features some of the country’s premiere performers and choreographers. Mr. Sales, a premiere dancer himself, and now choreographer, will tell us about this show, some of the performers joining him, and the emerging dance talent he sees from this part of the world. Donald Sales has created choreographic work for Ballet BC, Arts Umbrella and Dance Streams. He’s world premiered work at the Ballet BC 25th Anniversary Gala and at the 2012 Chutzpah Festival. He recently received the Clifford E. Lee Award for choreography. He’s also produced music with the likes of Akon and Kardinal Offishall. The website for more is at www.movent.ca. The address for the Legion on the Drive is 2205 Commercial. The show is at 08.00pm. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Donald Sales; Mr. Sales, good morning.
