Mike Morrison
Mike’s Bloggity Blog blogger Mike Morrison talks to Joseph Planta about last night’s Juno Awards here in Vancouver.
Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:
I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.
Last night were the Juno Awards, here in Vancouver. Nickelback opened the show with a pyrotechnic number that shook GM Place, prior to the band winning three awards, Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and the Juno Fan Choice Award. The comedian Russell Peters entertained as host, in his second appearance. He literally owns the show now. There were appearances by Michael Buble, Sarah McLachlan, Bryan Adams, and Loverboy, who were honoured with induction into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame. There were performances from Simple Plan, The Stills, Sam Roberts Band, Dallas Green, and more. This was my first year at the Junos, and the second year for my guest now, Michael Morrison of the popular Mike’s Bloggity Blog. He liveblogged last night’s show on the National Post’s website, and he joins me now after a weekend of Juno events. His website is www.mikesbloggityblog.com/. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, according to Russell Peters, Moby-lookalike, Mike Morrison; Good morning, Mr. Morrison.
