Babylon Rolling is the newest novel from the author Amanda Boyden. It is a novel about five families-black, white and Indian-living in New Orleans, following them for a year, the year before Hurricane Katrina. The book has been described as brave and seductive, glittering and gritty. It looks at race and culture in New Orleans and more. The author, with her husband the writer Joseph Boyden, lives in New Orleans, where she is a writer-in-residence at the University of New Orleans. Her first novel was the acclaimed Pretty Little Dirty. Babylon Rolling is published by Knopf and retails for $29.95.
