Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Tim Sanders was the Chief Solutions Officer at Yahoo! from 2001 to 2005. His previous book Love is the Killer App was a New York Times bestseller, and he’s a sought after speaker on the lecture circuit. He’s been featured on sundry publications and programs on television and radio. He joins me now to discuss his new book, Saving the World At Work. It’s an inspiring book about the ‘responsibility revolution’ seen in the corporate world where companies go beyond making profits and rather think about the difference they’re making in the world. We’ll talk about some of the companies we’re seeing innovation, as well as what one can do no matter their position in a company. The full title of the book is Saving the World at Work: What Companies and Individuals Can Do To Go Beyond Making A Profit to Making a Difference. It is published by Doubleday and retails for $27.95. www.timsanders.com is his website; www.savingtheworld.net is also worth a view for more information on this way of thinking. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Tim Sanders; Good morning, Mr. Sanders.
