At mid-point in the federal election campaign, the journalist Peter Van Dusen talks to Joseph Planta about the campaign and the coverage his network, CPAC (Cable Public Affairs Channel) is giving Canadians.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

We look at the current federal election campaign with my next guest, a keen observer of the political scene, Peter Van Dusen. He is the anchor of the Cable Public Affairs Channel’s flagship broadcast Prime Time Politics. He brings to CPAC’s coverage an experienced eye, what with his over two decades of reporting and anchoring. He interviews the candidates and the analysts weeknights at 5.00 PM Pacific, 8.00 PM Eastern. And not only during this campaign, but throughout the political season, CPAC is definitely the place to go. You can also check out http://www.cpac.ca, where they are streaming live. I guess you don’t even need a television anymore. I am pleased to welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Peter Van Dusen; Good morning, Mr. Van Dusen.
