Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Warren Kinsella joins me now to talk about his recent book, The War Room: Political Strategies for Business, NGO’s, and Anyone Who Wants to Win. The book, which retails for $29.99, is a highly readable look at how politics is done. Looking at some of the best strategists and spinners, Kinsella provides a lively look at how to fight a campaign employing many Canadian and American anecdotes, as well as how to handle a scandal, something my next guest has done quite a bit of. The book is written in the author’s inimitable style, it is lively and often humorous, something we’ve come to expect from his blockbuster blog, which can be found at www.warrenkinsella.com. Warren Kinsella was a special assistant to Jean Chrétien, most recently he was part of the Ontario Liberal campaign last fall that helped Dalton McGuinty win a second majority. He is the author of numerous books, including the bestselling Web of Hate, Kicking Ass in Canadian Politics, and his most recent, Fury’s Hour: A (Sort-of) Punk Manifesto. The War Room is published by the Dundurn Group. I am pleased to once again welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Warren Kinsella; Good morning, Mr. Kinsella.
