The podcaster and academic Hannah McGregor previews the Third Annual Vancouver Podcast Festival (18-22 November 2020), with Joseph Planta.

When the folks at DOXA launched the Vancouver Podcast Festival three years ago, I had the pleasure of attending and even moderating a few events. It was well attended and drew a great deal of interest from the community, as well from across the country. Last year’s second edition was apparently also quite a draw, growing as it were. This third edition beginning next Wednesday, 18 November 2020 that runs to Sunday, 22 November 2020, will be online and at home as it were. And what better way, since that’s how most of us consume podcasts online, and mostly at home. Hannah McGregor is a member of the programming committee that is planning this year’s festival. She joins me now to preview what’s to come, as well as talk about these past three years, as well as her own work in academia and podcasting. She is unique in that she’s looked at both and managed to illustrate the connection. Visit www.vanpodfest.ca for tickets and information.
