Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, British Columbia, at TheCommentary.ca.

Ray Argyle joins me again. The prolific author recently published a memoir, The Time of My Life. It’s not only a memoir of his ninety years, but also a journey across the geography of this country. From his home in Kingston, Ontario back to Creston, British Columbia, through the Prairies, Winnipeg, as well through Quebec, and the Maritimes, Mr. Argyle has seen a lot of Canada’s history through his work as a journalist—he even covered W.A.C. Bennett in Victoria, through a successful career in the advertising business with his own firm, Argyle Communications. And through what one might consider his retirement, where he’s written nearly ten books, including a novel, which he was last on the show with in 2017. Ray was an early guest on this program when his first book Turning Points was published in 2004. Ray Argyle is the only Canadian elected a Fellow of the International Public Relations Association. He is also the recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond Jubilee Medal. This book is published by Waterside Books. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Ray Argyle; Mr. Argyle, good morning.
