Amanda Sussman
I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.
Amanda Sussman was policy advisor on human rights and refugee issues to Bill Graham when he was Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Elinor Caplan, when she was Minister of Citizenship and Immigration. She has had extensive work with organisations like Human Rights Watch, Amnesty International, and the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees. She’s written a new book, her first, The Art of the Possible: (A Handbook for Political Activism). It is an instructive and useful book that opens the doors of government to show how we can make a difference. She joins me now to talk about how government works and how we can have an impact. Currently, she is policy advisor to Plan Canada. The Art of the Possible is published by McClelland and Stewart and retails for $22.99. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Amanda Sussman; Good morning, Ms. Sussman.
