Coming up at the Centennial Theatre in North Vancouver is the latest production from URP, formerly Uncle Randy Productions, Green Day’s American Idiot. It starts in previews next Tuesday, 05 November 2019, and runs through to 10 November 2019. Richard Berg joins me now. He is the production’s director, and I’ll get him to tell us about the show, as well we’ll discuss the music of Green Day, the themes from the seminal album, as well as the Broadway production that followed, and how they at URP are making it a little more relevant to today.
