Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, British Columbia, at TheCommentary.ca.

David Wilson joins me again. The artist’s new exhibition of paintings, Everywhere From Here begins 24 October and runs until 05 November 2019 on Granville Island. 1387 Railspur Alley is the address, and there will be a public opening Saturday, 26 October 2019 with the artist in attendance; that’s from 2pm to 4pm. David has been known for depicting the urban scene in his work, especially the changing city. In this new exhibition, he turns to what surrounds Vancouver, and looks first to The Lions, those peaks that have meant so much to the folklore, history and geography of this place. It’s a beautiful work, as are the pieces that depict the changing seasons and the Downtown Vancouver that he captures so well. Visit www.davidwilson.ca for a preview of his new works. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, David Wilson; Mr. Wilson, good morning.
