Two of the Canadiana team Ashley Brook, co-creator and producer, and Adam Bunch, host and narrator, talk to Joseph Planta about the second season of the web series that explores Canada’s history.

Introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, British Columbia, at TheCommentary.ca.

Canadiana has just begun its second series. Each episode looks at some of the hidden aspects of Canada’s history. The web series does an engaging job at using animation, live action and archival footage to look at the interesting people and times throughout our history. The first episode of the second series looks at the Twin Peaks, or Two Lions here on the North Shore. Joining me now are Ashley Brook and Adam Bunch. Ms. Brook is co-creator and producer, and Mr. Bunch is host and narrator of the program. I’ll ask them about the impetus for the series, the need for Canadians to know more of their history, as well as the ongoing challenge of indigenous erasure and cultural appropriation. The series is available on YouTube, and the website for more is at www.thisiscanadiana.com. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Ashley Brook and Adam Bunch; Ms. Brook, good morning. And Mr. Bunch, good morning.
