Slow: Simple Living for a Frantic World by Brooke McAlary (Sourcebooks, 2018).

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Brooke McAlary joins me now. The founder of the Slow Your Home website is on to talk about her new book, Slow: Simple Living for a Frantic World. We all want to lead a meaningful life, and Ms. McAlary has some ideas on how, whether it’s limiting social media use, not getting caught up with outdoing others on social media, as well as decluttering and de-owning. I’ll get her to tell us about what’s worked for her. In fact, she’s spent most of the summer travelling with her family, and it’s been slow travel on their part. It has been a better life for her and her family. Other than the Slow Your Home blog, she hosts and produces the Slow Home Podcast. The Twitter handle is @brookemcalary. Visit www.slowyourhome.com. This new book is published by Sourcebooks. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Brooke McAlary; Ms. McAlary, good morning.
