Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:
I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.
Bernard Cuffling joins me again. The acclaimed actor will be starring in a limited run 16-18 March 2018, a production of Mary Chase’s Harvey. The show is produced by the good folks over at Western Gold Theatre. Elwood P. Dowd has a best friend. It’s a 1.9 metre pooka, Harvey, that resembles an anthropomorphic rabbit. Elwood introduces Harvey to everyone he meets, which proves embarrassing to certain family members. There are only five performances. Visit www.westerngoldtheatre.org for tickets and information. The show stars: Darren Boquist, Dave Campbell, Kate Dion-Richard, Tanja Dixon-Warren, Keith Martin Gordey, Annabel Kershaw, Anjela Magpantay, Russell Roberts, and Colleen Winton. The show is directed by Anna Hagan. Bernard Cuffling has appeared in all the major theatres in Western Canada, throughout Ontario as well. He has worked in film, television, and radio. He’s received the Sam Payne Award, and a Jessie Award for lifetime achievement. He has also been inducted into the BC Walk of Fame. He was recently seen in the Arts Club’s production of Beauty and the Beast, and was on this program this past fall for his one-man show Coming Up For Air. Performances of Harvey are at the PAL Studio Theatre. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Bernard Cuffling; Mr. Cuffling, good morning.
