One of the more fascinating offerings at the 14th PuSh Festival’s Club PuSh this year is Spokaoke, the interactive piece is on at The Fox Cabaret, 02 February 2018 at 9.00pm. There’s Reagan telling Gorbachev to ‘tear down this wall,’ to some of Socrates’s speeches, to a scene from Clueless. She works in various fields including theatre, film, dance and algorithmic theatre. Ms. Dorsen directed and co-created the 2008 Broadway production of Passing Strange, which garnered much acclaim and numerous awards. Among her recent accolades include the 2014 Herb Alpert Award for the Arts in Theater, and a 2016 Foundation for Contemporary Arts Award. She is a visiting professor in theatre and performance studies at the University of Chicago. Visit www.anniedorsen.com for more. And of course visit www.pushfestival.ca for tickets and information.
