Jen Agg joins me now. She has written one of the more engaging, necessary and entertaining books of the year. It’s a memoir about her work in the restaurant business, where she’s made quite a name for herself in Toronto. Her popular establishments include The Black Hoof, Cocktail Bar, Rhum Corner, and Grey Gardens. She’s often hilarious and frank, and honest about the sexism and double standards in the restaurant industry, and society itself. The book is called I Hear She’s A Real Bitch, and even with her confidence she bears her vulnerability in equal measure. This book is published by Doubleday.
