Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Jesse Brown joins me again. The founder of Canadaland, has just published The Canadaland Guide to Canada (Published in America), that he’s written with Vicky Mochama and Nick Zarzycki. It’s a great look at Canada. It’s already a bestseller and getting raves for its trenchant wit, doubtless expected of the Canadaland brand that Mr. Brown has cultivated over the last four years. As we celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary (there’s a word for that, which naturally I can’t pronounce), this is a good book to break whatever patriotic delusions we might have about this beloved country. Actually, you read it and ones feeling for this country is perhaps clarified or validated. Jesse Brown is a journalist and public irritant. The Twitter handle is @JesseBrown, and the site is www.canadalandshow.com. The book is a Touchstone Original, which is an imprint of Simon & Schuster. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Jesse Brown; Mr. Brown, good morning.
