The 2017 PuSh Festival begins today, 16 January 2016 and runs until 05 February 2016, and we’ll continue as we have in previous years to feature some of the upcoming shows with the performers and creators as they make their way to Vancouver.
Jess Thom brings her show Backstage in Biscuit Land to Vancouver 30 January to 01 February 2017 at the Roundhouse Community Arts and Recreation Centre. She has Tourettes syndrome and this show features a hilarious mix of improv, comedy and puppetry in a show produced by England’s Touretteshero, and presented with caravan. She involuntary and repeatedly says certain words; and another tic she has involves her motor skills where she hits her chest. We’ll talk about Tourette’s, its impact on her life, and what she gains from bringing this show around the world. The website for more is at www.touretteshero.com. Visit www.pushfestival.ca for tickets and more information. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, in London, England, Jess Thom; Good morning, Ms. Thom.
