Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

After a cross-country journey from their home in Nova Scotia that began in September, Marjorie Simmins and Silver Donald Cameron arrived in Vancouver in early November, a city where they were both raised. Both have new books, he also has a film. They were on the program recently, and after our chat we decided to talk some more and they join me now together. We’ll talk about their trip by motorhome, the Canada they saw along the way, and the reception they had for their books, Warrior Lawyers and Green Rights, that’s Don’s book and film; and Year of the Horse, Marjorie’s memoir about getting injured and healing in Nova Scotia, and the growing up with horses here in Vancouver’s Southlands. Their websites are at www.silverdonaldcameron.ca and www.marjoriesimmins.ca. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Silver Donald Cameron and Marjorie Simmins; Ms. Simmins, good morning. And Dr. Cameron, good morning.
