DOXA: The Documentary Film Festival [1] begins this week, 02-11 May 2014. Joining me now to preview its 13th year is its programming director Dorothy Woodend. I’ll get her to tell us about some of the films that will screen, some 90 films. Every year there’s always something for everyone. The festival opens with Virunga, and closes with A Brony Tale. There’s also a documentary on George Takei, and a few that I’ve already seen that are just terrific: Massacred for Gold, 1971, and A Fragile Trust, which looks into the Jayson Blair controversy that consumed the New York Times ten years ago.
