CHECK AGAINST DELIVERY
Joining me on the line is The Honourable Sheila Copps. In 1981, she was elected to the Ontario Legislature. In 1984, she was elected a Liberal Member of Parliament from Hamilton; a seat she held until the last federal election. When the Liberals formed the government in 1993, Ms. Copps served in the cabinet of Jean Chrétien as Minister of the Environment, Deputy Prime Minister, and Minister of Canadian Heritage.
Sheila Copps recounts her time in government, her ouster, as well as sheds light on the current Liberal regime, one that she’s deeply suspicious of, in her new book, Worth Fighting For, $32.99 CDN, A Douglas Gibson Book published by McClelland and Stewart. Its foreword was written by the Right Honourable Jean Chrétien, and the delightful Introduction was penned by the Honourable John C. Crosbie.
