Heather Summerhayes Cariou

This is the Planta: On the Line program here at THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Sixtyfive Roses: A Sister’s Memoir was designated a Book of the Year, in Globe and Mail’s Top 100 listing last year. It tells the story of Pamela Summerhayes, who at the age of four is diagnosed with Cystic Fibrosis. The author, Pam’s sister Heather Summerhayes Cariou, discusses her family’s unfortunate, but hopeful story. It’s evocative and well-written; deeply personal and affecting. Published by McArthur and Company, a portion of the proceeds from the sales of this book will be donated to the Canadian Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. A former professional actress and dancer, the author lives in Manhattan with her husband, the noted actor Len Cariou. She spole with me from Cornwall, Ontario. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Heather Summerhayes Cariou; Good morning, Mrs. Summerhayes Cariou.
