Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Are we past the point where women can stop worrying about whether having a child will hurt their career? A new book suggests that there are situations of success, where the work/life balance is working out for a lot of women. Reva Seth joins me now to talk about her new book, The MomShift: Women Share Their Stories of Career Success After Having Children. For it, she interviewed over 500 women with varying professional and personal backgrounds and found out a woman can have it all, but it also varies from person to person. In fact, if you read her book, there’s likely an anecdote or situation that one can relate to. I’ll get Ms. Seth to tell us about the MomShift, about the women she talked to, and her own life. She is an author and entrepreneur, who began her career as a corporate lawyer, before embarking in a career in strategic and corporate communications. She appears regularly on various programs and has written for a number of publications. Her website is at www.themomshift.com. The book is published by Random House. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Reva Seth; Ms. Seth, good morning.
