I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.
Peter Jorgensen joins me again. The acclaimed, award winning actor, producer, director and choreographer has a brand new revue opening this week. It’s called Rodgers & Hammerstein: Out of a Dream. Conceived and directed by Mr. Jorgensen, the revue features the timeless and recognisable music and lyrics of Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II. I’ll get Peter to tell us about this show, what’s in it, the cast, and more. It runs at the new York Theatre beginning 05 February, running until February 16, 2014. Visit www.thecultch.com for tickets and information. We’ll also reflect on the shows by Rodgers and Hammerstein, some of the 20th century’s most celebrated works, from Oklahoma! to The Sound of Music, Mr. Jorgensen finds inspiration from the canon and offers us a romantic selection in this show. Peter Jorgensen was last on last summer just as the smash production of Avenue Q he directed was to begin. This new revue is produced by Patrick Street Productions, which Mr. Jorgensen co-founded.
