The author Andrew Pyper joins me again. He’s got a new book out, a terrifying one, The Demonologist. It’s got a lot of buzz and rightfully so, it’s a compelling read. It’s described as a major departure for Mr. Pyper, who takes us into the horror genre. In the book, a Columbia professor named David Ullman has a scholarly knowledge of the demonic, namely Milton’s Paradise Lost. As such, he travels to Venice to observe a mysterious phenomenon and sees his life soon cast on a journey of discovery. He’s facing evil and demons, angels and more. I’ll get Mr. Pyper to tell us about this book, and how it’s been received so far. Robert Zemeckis and the folks at Universal have optioned the book already. The bestselling and award winning Andrew Pyper has been on twice for his previous books The Killing Circle and The Guardians.
