The writer Jonathon Narvey discusses social media in Vancouver, blogging, and more with Joseph Planta.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver at TheCommentary.ca.

I’ve been reading Jonathon Narvey’s stuff for a few years now. He says he was once one of the elite bloggerati in Vancouver, I still think he is, however the scene’s changed somewhat over the years. He reflects on this in a recent piece on his website, ‘I Blog but I’m Not a Blogger.’ You can find that at www.jnarvey.com. I read it a few days ago and found it to be a thoughtful piece about the state of social media in this part of the world. Being a practitioner myself, having done this program online for over eight years now, it’s a good time to sit back, or as we’re doing now, sit up and look back as well as look ahead. Mr. Narvey has graciously come over to talk about this piece, discuss blogs and blogging, and more. Jonathan Narvey is a freelance journalist, website copywriter and author. He is the founder of Writeimage, a website copywriting services company. He also offers political commentary at The Propagandist, that’s at www.propagandistmag.com. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, in studio this morning, Jonathon Narvey; Mr. Narvey, good morning.
