Sean Cranbury stands in for the absent Joe Planta as he enjoys a respite overseas.

In this interview Sean speaks to Vancouver-based globe-trotting photographer, technologist, blogger, social media savant and cultural provocateur, Kris Krug.

In a wide ranging discussion beginning with a focus on Kris’ beginnings as a photographer through his experiences at various TEDx conferences – Shanghai, Honolulu, Vancouver – to his work with Geeks on a Plane to his upcoming photocultural book showcasing the arts scene in Shanghai and published under Creative Commons license… this conversation touches a lot of ground.

Kris has just returned from a brief photojournalist stint at the COP15 United Nations Climate Change Conference in Copenhagen and has covered the Olympic games in Beijing and Torino.  Sean and Kris also discuss opportunities in Vancouver during the 2010 Winter Games, specifically the True North Media House and the W2 Culture and Media House.

Please take the time to check out Kris’ photos on Flickr: Here’s his Favorites from Copenhagen.
