Vancouver politics is discussed with CityCaucus.com co-editor Michael Klassen and Joseph Planta; they discuss the first anniversary party at City Caucus, the budget hearings at City Hall, the recent provincial NDP convention, the forthcoming Olympics, and more.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

We check in now with my neighbour and old friend Michael Klassen. He is the co-editor of CityCaucus.com, which has just celebrated its first anniversary. And what a year it’s been, in politics locally and for the site. CityCaucus.com is a strident observer of politics in Vancouver, and municipal issues across the country. They’ve been watching the government here in Vancouver, and it’s been great coverage. They get branded right-wing, or NPA, but I see whatever their past affiliations as more context than partisanship. They’re simply a great read. Mike Klassen’s other website is www.michaelklassen.com. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Mike Klassen; Good morning, Mr. Klassen.
