Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Here’s a book now, that’s a timely and very useful. I think you’ll find something out of this, that’s well worth noting. The book is called Be Great: The Five Foundations of an Extraordinary Life In Business—And Beyond. Its author Peter H. Thomas joins me now. In the book he articulates those five foundations: values, focus, visualization, inspiration, and reflections. He gives us examples of why they’re important, and why we can’t lose sight of them, especially in light of all the pressure that’s doubtless out there what with the economy. The book is instructive for those in business and beyond. Peter Thomas is one of the leading real estate developers and lenders of his time in North America. He is best known for his success as founder of Century 21 Real Estate Canada. He also was instrumental in the Four Seasons Resort development in Scottsdale. He is the founder and chairman of the Todd Thomas Institute for Values-Based Leadership at Royal Roads University in Victoria, and he’s also the founder ad chairman of LifePilot. The book, Be Great, is published by Wiley. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Peter Thomas; Good morning, Mr. Thomas.
