The political strategist Jonathan Ross discusses his new website CivicScene.ca, the surfeit of political websites and blogs covering municipal affairs in Vancouver, how the current mayor Gregor Robertson and his council are doing, the HST debate in British Columbia, and the Liberal Party of Canada under Michael Ignatieff.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Jonathan Ross joins me again. It’s been over three years since his last appearance on the program. He’d been on a couple of times in the past, and was a welcome guest here. He’s a communications consultant with TDH Strategies, and now he’s with CivicScene.ca. It’s a recently launched blog on municipal affairs in Vancouver, adding another voice to the growing numbers online discussing urban affairs and more. The blog will look at politics and policymaking, managed by Jonathan and progressive voices across the continent. The website is www.civicscene.ca; and TDH Strategies is at www.tdhstrategies.com. I’m pleased to welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, Jonathan Ross; Good morning, Mr. Ross.
