Marty Beckerman joins me from New York City this morning. He is the author of a new book, Dumbocracy: Adventures with the Loony Left and the Rabid Right. It is a stimulating, thoughtful, provocative, sometimes rude, but often funny book on the American political landscape. He’s spent four years with extremists on both sides of the aisle, and he exposes their fanaticism and how they are ruining the country with their failure to compromise on a wide variety of issues, whether it’s the First Amendment and free speech, political correctness, gay rights, drugs, sex, abortion, and more.
