Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

Vancouver Sun columnist Daphne Bramham joins me now to discuss her new book The Secret Lives of Saints: Child Brides and Lost Boys in Canada’s Polygamous Mormon Sect. It is a timely, riveting and remarkable book on the polygamous, fundamentalist Mormon sect of Bountiful, BC. Published by Random House, the book retails for $32.95. Daphne Bramham has been a columnist with the Sun since 2000, and in 2005 won the Commentator of the Year award at the Jack Webster Awards. She’s written a great deal about this subject in the paper, and I am pleased to welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Daphne Bramham; Good morning, Ms. Bramham.
