Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

From 1994 to 2004, Rona Maynard was the editor of Chatelaine. Before that she worked at Flare and Maclean's. Last year she wrote a wonderful memoir, My Mother's Daughter, which has just been published in softcover; $19.99 from McClelland and Stewart. It's a really great book. I re-read parts of it this past summer, and I was struck at how some of the stuff in there just stays with you. http://www.ronamaynard.com is her website where she maintains a very fine blog. Please welcome once again to the Planta: On the Line program, Rona Maynard; Good morning, Ms. Maynard.
