I am Planta: On the Line. This is THECOMMENTARY.CA.

My guest now decided to mark her fiftieth birthday by embarking on a pilgrimage walking the 800 kilometres of Spain's Camino de Santiago de Compostela. Her book, What the Psychic Told the Pilgrim tells the story of how she got the idea to go on this journey, the women who had at first walked with her, and the interesting characters she'd encountered along the way. It is an interesting book, humorous-there are some laugh out loud moments-and instructive on what to do, and perhaps what not to do, like say bringing along 14 middle aged women.

For 25 years, Jane Christmas edited and wrote for Canadian newspapers like the Hamilton Spectator, the Globe and Mail, and the National Post.
