Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:
Andrew Cohen joins me this morning. The journalist, professor, and bestselling author of A Deal Undone, the book on the Meech Lake Accord, and While Canada Slept, as well as Trudeau's Shadow, which he co-edited with J.L. Granatstein, has a new book, The Unfinished Canadian: The People We Are. Published by McClelland and Stewart, it retails for $29.99. It is a well written and highly readable look at who we are as Canadians and where we belong. It's ground well covered in the past, but Cohen's take is original and thought-provoking, often witty, making for an enjoyable and informative read. A finalist for a 2006 National Newspaper Award, Andrew Cohen is an associate professor at Carleton, and is a syndicated columnist at the Ottawa Citizen. He joins me from Ottawa this morning. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Andrew Cohen; Good morning, Mr. Cohen.
