Rafe Mair is a former lawyer, former politician, and former cabinet minister in the Social Credit government of Bill Bennett. He served in the portfolios of Consumer and Corporate Affairs; Health; and the Environment, as well as responsibility for constitutional affairs. For nearly 25 years now, he's been a force to be reckoned with on radio, first on CJOR, and then for 19 years at CKNW, where for 15 of those years he was the host of their number one talk show. Now, The Rafe Mair Show can be heard on CKBD 600 AM. Last year, he was honoured with the Bruce Hutchison Lifetime Achievement Award from the Jack Webster Foundation.
His latest book-his fifth-from Harbour Publishing, Rafe: A Memoir, has just been published. It retails for $34.95.
