Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Sharon Hapton joins me again. The founder of Soup Sisters, the organisation that in 20 cities now across North America, provides soup to women and children in need, has just published a third cookbook: The Soup Sisters Family Cookbook: More than 100 Family-friendly Recipes to Make and Share with Kids of All Ages. Edited with Gwendolyn Richards, Sharon has gather these recipes for soup from Soup Sisters, celebrity chefs and souper kids. A lot of these kid chefs contribute sophisticated recipes; they’re imaginative too. It’s a good time of the year for soup. There’s lots here. As well, the book is a very good showcase of the work of Soup Sisters. Visit www.soupsisters.org [2] for more. This new book is published by Appetite, an imprint of Random House. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Sharon Hapton; Ms. Hapton, good morning.
