Christopher Auchter’s short film The Mountains of SGaana screens as part of the Strangers in Strange Lands section at this year’s Vancouver International Film Festival. The filmmaker discusses his film, the legend of the killer whale in Haida culture, growing up on Haida Gwaii, and his work in film, and the reception this film has gotten thus far.
