Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

David Bloom joins me again. He’s one of the stars of The Nether, a new production at the Firehall Arts Centre, 18-28 January 2017. The play is set in the very near future, where the so-called Nether, is the name given to the vast network of virtual reality realms. Users log in, and indulge in any desire. The Hideaway is a realm in which pedophiles can live out their fantasies, and with that, I’ll leave it up to Mr. Bloom to tell us about his role in this show and what happens in it. The show had its Vancouver premiere at the Fringe Festival and got a number good reviews. www.firehallartscentre.ca [1] is the website for tickets and more. David Bloom was last on nearly three years ago when he was starring in a production of Oleanna. He is an actor, director, and educator. He’s on the faculty of Capilano University and Langara College. Please welcome back to the Planta: On the Line program, David Bloom; Mr. Bloom, good morning.
