The award-winning film and television director Nimisha Mukerji joins me again. Her latest, Tempest Storm had its Vancouver premiere this past weekend. The film is available on iTunes and video on demand. It’s a documentary that explores the life of the legendary burlesque star Tempest Storm. At the age of 88, Ms. Storm continues to tour and make public appearances. She’ll be on this program in the coming days. This documentary looks at the themes of class, race, and gender. As well as the costs of fame and a career, as Ms. Storm goes back to reconnect with an estranged daughter, siblings, and others.
