The award-winning theatre artist Mallory Catlett discusses her PuSh Festival show, Decoder 2017, which plays 04 February 2016 at the Fox Cabaret, with Joseph Planta.

Mallory Catlett joins me now. The acclaimed theatre artist will be bringing her performance installation Decoder 2017 to the PuSh Festival 04 February 2016 at Vancouver’s Fox Cabaret. I’ll get Ms. Catlett to tell us about this show, its inspiration and genesis; she conceived and directed the show, in collaboration with G. Lucas Crane, Jim Findlay, Ryan Holsopple, and Keith Skretch. Mallory Catlett is an Obie Award winning director, and has been hailed for her work as a dramaturg and creator of performance across various disciplines. Her previous works include City Council Meeting, This Was the End, Oh What War, Celebrity, The Woman Rebel, The Room is Moving, and Beat, which was nominated for 5 Jessie Awards here in Vancouver. She has degrees from Bard College and Simon Fraser University here in Vancouver, where she spent much time, creating, directing and dramaturging at least ten works of theatre, opera, and dance.
