The podcasters Dale McGladdery and Roland Tanglao discuss their podcast Over 40 in Vancouver, coffee, Vancouver, blogging, and more, with Joseph Planta.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Celebrating the 30th episode of their podcast, Dale McGladdery and Roland Tanglao join me now. They launched the Over 40 in Vancouver podcast in January. They’re stalwart members of the online community here in town, and I’ll ask them about how this show came about. We’ll touch on the topics they discuss. There’s a lot of talk about food, about living in the city—usually the things that piss one off about living in such a remarkable, expensive, maddening and terrific place that Vancouver is. We’ll also reflect on podcasting not only in Vancouver but beyond. Dale McGladdery is a web developer here in Vancouver. He’s involved with CFRO community radio as a host and producer. His Twitter handle is @dale42, and his website is at www.group42.ca. Roland Tanglao is a support coordinator with Mozilla here in Vancouver. He’s a long-time blogger and podcaster. His website is at www.rolandtanglao.com, and his Twitter handle is @rtanglao. Many years ago, just as I started this program, Roland very kindly invited me to appear on his podcast Dogma Radio. I’ve been waiting a long time to return the favour. Over 40 in Vancouver can be heard at www.audioboom.com/over40invan. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program in person today, Roland Tanglao and Dale McGladdery; Mr. McGladdery, good morning. And Mr. Tanglao, good morning.
