The award-winning broadcaster Keri Adams discuses anchoring CTV Morning Live weekdays, her work on Arrow, and more, with Joseph Planta.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

Keri Adams joins me now. The popular television anchor has been waking up early, anchoring the CTV Morning Live broadcast, which is on the air on channel 9 here in Vancouver at 5.30am. For three and a half hours each morning, Keri, Brent Shearer, Marke Driesschen, and Ann Luu get the day started for a lot of people in this town. The program has been getting quite the following. I’ll get Ms. Adams to tell us about the broadcast, the mix of news, weather, sports and entertainment that can be had weekdays. The show celebrates their 1000th broadcast this Friday. Keri also interviews a lot of the guests and newsmakers they have on, and she’s pretty good at it. She’s received a Jack Webster Award for her work as a reporter in 2005. She’s anchored the noon, 5.00pm, and late night news broadcasts on CTV Vancouver, which she joined in 2002. Before that she was over at Global, which was her first Vancouver job after coming here by way of Alberta. She started her career in her hometown of Edmonton, and then for a spell in Red Deer. She also portrays Bethany Snow on the television program Arrow. You can follow her on Twitter; the handle is @Keri_Adams. She’s one of the highly respected anchors in this town, and well-liked by folks within and without the broadcasting field. Visit www.bc.ctvnews.ca. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, Keri Adams; Ms. Adams, good morning.
