Last winter, I talked to Mary Halpen, one of the original Bridge ladies about the Best of Bridge series of books, and the group of ladies who started putting these cookbooks out forty years ago. Mary, and a recent member of the group, Julie Van Rosendaal were in town a week or two ago launching the latest, Best of Bridge Home Cooking: 250 Easy and Delicious Recipes. Julie joins me now to talk about this new collection and more. She is a food writer, journalist and broadcaster. We’ll discuss the recipes in the book, easy to make ones that look good, and that suit every occasion, whether you’re cooking for one, or more. The book is published by Robert Rose.
