Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

I am Planta: On the Line, in Vancouver, at TheCommentary.ca.

The award-winning journalist Steve Kowch joins me now. He’s got a new book in the 99 Things You Wish You Knew Before series. The book is called 99 Things You Wish You Knew Before Making It Big in Media. We’ll talk about this book now, the consulting work that he does today for broadcasters and podcasters; we’ll also discuss his years as a news and programming director at CJAD in Montreal, and CFRB in Toronto. The book is really engaging, offering up a lot of tips, as well as anecdotes that will serve anyone who thinks working in the media is for them. I enjoyed the reminisces of a veteran journalist, who’s worked with a lot of notable names, some great talent in this country, as well as the advice he offers that will be useful for anyone who wants to be successful in the media, or any other business for that matter. Visit www.kowchmedia.com for more information on Steve. The book is published by The 99 Series. Please welcome to the Planta: On the Line program, in Mississauga, Ontario today, Steve Kowch; Mr. Kowch, good morning.
