Scott Feschuk joins me now. The noted humourist and columnist has a new book out: The Future and Why We Should Avoid It. It’s a laugh-out-loud, funny book. He looks ahead to all the awful things that we can expect in our politics, our technology, our bodies, and more, and warns us about why we should steer clear of whatever Apple might come up with next, or the zombies that’ll run for president in 2052. Scott Feschuk’s two previous books were Searching for Michael Jackson’s Nose, and How Not to Completely Suck as a New Parent. He’s an award winning humourist, who is a columnist at Maclean’s, and who’s also written for Sportsnet, the Globe and Mail, This Hour Has 22 Minutes, and the National Post, where like a lot of people, I first became acquainted with his trenchant wit.
