Alison Schamberger

Neil Simon’s Lost in Yonkers is running at the Metro Theatre until 11 February 2006. Its director Alison Schamberger talked with Joseph Planta about the production.

Text of introduction by Joseph Planta:

It’s New York City. 1942. A father leaves his two young boys with their formidable grandmother, and thus begins Lost In Yonkers, part comedy, part drama. It’s a play about survival, family and acceptance. The Metro Theatre will be staging the Neil Simon Pulitzer Prize-winning play, which opens tomorrow, the 14th of January, and runs through to the 11 February 2006.

This morning, I’m joined by the director of this production, Alison Schamberger, who’ll talk with me about the production, Neil Simon’s work and more.

Tickets for Lost in Yonkers are available from the Metro Theatre’s box office, 604.266.7191; and more information can be found at http://www.metrotheatre.org [1].

Please welcome to THECOMMENTARY.CA, Alison Schamberger; Good morning, Ms. Schamberger.
